Food was delicious! Had the Philly cheesesteak and buffalo bites. Service was quick and food was excellent.
Food was amazing! The Philly steaks are huge. We were in town on business from Cincinnati Ohio. Sure glad we chose this place to stop and eat. Nice friendly family-owned restaurant. Quality and quantity of the food surpassed are expectations. Very reasonable pricing.
Was looking for a good philly cheese steak while passing through Wilkes-Barre and, Philly's Phinest did not disappoint. It was one of the best I've ever had. I dined in but this establishment seemed to be known for its takeout. I had a 12 inch, (steak, cheese, onions, peppers and mushrooms) with a side of curly fries. The food was hot and delicious. The meat was cooked to perfection, not dry, and veggies were fresh & tasty. The service was good and staff was very helpful & friendly. Will definitely stop in next time I drive by Wilkes-Barre off I81 and encourage you to if you are looking for a great tasting cheese steak sandwich.
Phenomenal food, dining area should have better temperature control, handicap parking is abismal unless you're fortunate to get the single spot often taken by inconsiderate drivers parking over handicap ramp. But the food is so damn good! Employees tell of the local ingredients and hoagie buns from a Philly bakery. Few years ago I complained to management about the grilled cheeseburger being burnt, I was told it takes that to fully cook the burger. I suggested they grill the burger off the sandwich before grilling the burger do not to burn it. Bless the employees I advised, someone listened and the grilled burgers are not one of my TOP meals. Along with the Buffalo chicken stromboli, the cheese steak, well anything (sub, stromboli or sandwich) you can tell this is not frozen but fresh steak. Only issue with steak is the will often use American cheese even though original Philadelphia cheese steaks had PROVOLONE, IMO it should automatically come with anything cheesteak to make it authentic. Regardless of my personal desires, whoever it was that began this restaraunt, made some really good choices with fresh and as local as possible ingredients. I take out of towners here whenever given the chance to show off my area's good food! Thank you Philly's Phinest for fantastic food and hearing constructive criticism from a Philly's Phinest fan. Had mostly great experiences with deliveries and dining in. One time an employee told me my complaint was invalid because it was made that way. It felt to me she told me to just "suck it up and shut up" attitude. When I advised a few other employees and a manager on duty, those great employees gave great service and now make it the RIGHT way without the poor attitude of other employee. Get the grilled cheeseburger and see for yourself. Highly recommend any choice of wings the sauces are the Phinest! I like the mild, honey mustard and butter garlic, if you want my recommendations. Try the strombolis, cheesteak or buffalo chicken are my faves. My next recommendation is to make buffalo thighs, more meat for less work.
